Travel & Shuttles
Getting to the Rock
Getting there
The nearest airport is St. John's International (YYT) — about 106 km, roughly 1 hr 10 min by car.
Public transit is not available in this area, so you'll need your own wheels or a ride with other guests.
Rental cars — Rental vehicles in Newfoundland book out quickly, especially in summer. We recommend booking as early as possible for the best availability and rates. If you run into any challenges renting, please let Jean or Emily know — carpools can be arranged on an as-needed basis with other guests and family.
Shuttles
We'll offer one shuttle to Harbour Grace on Friday and one return trip to St. John's on Sunday. Outside of those two trips, you'll be responsible for your own ride.
- Friday: Shuttle from St. John's to Harbour Grace (time TBA)
- Sunday: Shuttle from Harbour Grace back to St. John's (time TBA)
If your flight falls outside those windows or you'd like more flexibility, a rental car is the way to go. We'll post exact pickup times closer to the date.

Places to stay
There aren't really taxis or rideshares in Harbour Grace, but we'll be running a shuttle for those staying nearby. We recommend booking accommodations as close to the venue as possible.
Housing is limited in the area, so we kindly ask that you book only what you need and avoid overbooking — we want to make sure everyone has a place to stay. Please book as soon as you're able.
